The Vikasa School , Thoothukudi About Us

The Vikasa School in Tuticorin, run by the PSTS Foundation, aims to provide quality education to the rapidly developing port town. The school started with 64 children in a rented building in June 1996. It is now housed in 2 buildings with a built-in area of 43150 sq. ft. with around 2000 children as its student strength and with over 175 members of the teaching faculty. The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi, which is an All-India Board and the children appear for the ICSE examination in class X and the ISC examination in class XII. Within its short life span of 17 years, the school has etched its name in this town within its short life span by achieving a position in the All India Child Genius Contest conducted by Star TV Network. School children also achieved the highest grades in the IAIS examinations in English, Science, and Computer Skills, conducted by Educational Assessment Australia (EAA-UNSW). One of our students was invited to attend Youth for Leadership in Science by the Central Electrochemical Research Institute, at SIKRI Karaikudi, for the scores achieved in the ICSE examinations. Our swimming team is a force to reckon with within South Tamil Nadu and has state-level swimmers in its ranks.
