About Us
The Sri Aurobindo Integral Education & Research Centre is an integral part of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and it serves as a field for new experiments and research in education. The basic approach of the centre toward education is based upon the idea that life has a divine purpose and that one of the most important tasks of education is to lead the students to discover for themselves the aim of life in general and the specific role that they themselves have to play in life. The new aim is to help the child to develop his intellectual, aesthetic, emotional, moral, and spiritual being and his communal life and impulses out of his own temperament and capacities. The approach is, therefore, not merely academic but dynamic and integral.
