About Us
The Montfort School, Abhayapuri, was established in the year 2005 by the "Institute of the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel", a registered religious society engaged in the field of education. The Society was founded in France in 1700 by St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort to teach and take care of children in charitable schools. He was born on January 31st, 1673, in a hamlet called "Montfort" in western France. He was a visionary and deeply convinced of the incredible impact education could have in forming a better world. He was a friend of the youth and the less privileged in his society. He deliberately dedicated his entire life to their well-being.
