Manava Bharati International School was the vision of our late founder, Dr. Durga Prasad Pandey. Dr. Pandey is an academician and educator of international renown. He was educated at the Banaras Hindu University, India; and the Universities of Cambridge, England; and Leiden, Holland. He was associated with the Indian National Freedom Struggle in both its revolutionary and Gandhian programmes. A close competitor, Pt. He suggested his name to Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore, who asked him to join Vishwa Bharati, Shantiniketan. Babuji, as he was fondly known, decided to devote his work to the cause of child education and the service of "divinity in man". He followed his inclination to develop the concept of child education, which he had nurtured while in association with Tagore. The poet Tagore inspired him to pursue a Ph.D. at the prestigious Kings College, Cambridge, England.
