Kendriya Vidyalaya, Deeptinagar was established on 15th December 1988 in the Temporary township (TTS) of Deeptinagar under the Project sector with single section up to class: VIII for imparting excellent education to the children of employees and surroundings. At present it is a single section from classes (I to V) and double section from classes (VI to XII) school in the Permanent Township (PTS) of Deeptinagar with a total strength of about 800 children. At +2 stage it has two streams i.e. SCIENCE & HUMANITIES.In addition to basic education, computer education is compulsory imparted to students of class III TO XII. The school has a distinguished teachers – 10 PGTs, 09 TGTs, 06 PRTs and 05 Miscellaneous teachers. Vidyalaya well managed by a highly qualified Principal. the big and beautiful building of the Vidyalaya is divided into four blocks: 1. Primary Block 2. Secondary and senior Secondary Block 3. Laboratories and Departments’ Block 4. Office and Library Block The school has two computer laboratories with computers. The school owns color TVs, LCD Projector, OHP Film / Slide Projector, and C.D., / Video / Audio Cassettes in sufficient numbers. The Vidyalaya well placed in the lap of Nature provides ample opportunities to children for their all-round development – physical, intellectual, and cultural. The beautiful gardens add to the aesthetic sense of the children. Keen interest is taken by the expert Physical Education Teacher for promoting games and sports ability as well as the interest of the children. Kahalgaon is situated on the Bhagalpur Howrah Railway's main route. All the trains have a stoppage at Kahalgaon. From Railway Station, it is easily accessible by Rickshaw/NTPC bus/taxi. It is also on the bank of the holy Ganga.
