Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Kunjaban, Agartala, is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, an autonomous body under Ministry of HRD, Government of India. This is the first Kendriya Vidyalaya started in Tripura in 1967. It is a civil sector school catering to the educational needs of the students of Tripura. Initially started for the wards of transferable Central Government Employees, now it has the honour to be one of the biggest schools in Tripura.
