Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Arambagh

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya , Arambagh About Us

The 25th of December 2005 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dihibagnan, Hooghly (W.B) was laid down by the Hon. Shri Anil Basu, the then member of Parliament for Arambagh Constituency, West Bengal. The school campus covers around 12 acres of plain land, with its buildings connected by the approach road on the Arambagh-Samta Route and offering spectacular views at every corner with a lush green overview. These buildings include the beautiful academic building; the modern state-of-the-art infrastructure; and the newly-refurbished student hostels and staff houses. The academic buildings, including several classrooms, are linked by a computer network. The widespread use of email and an intranet system shrinks the distances and keeps staff, students, and administration in quick and easy contact with one another. The Vidyalaya is surrounded by agricultural fields on all sides. The Vidyalaya is situated nearer to the birthplace of the great social leader, Raja Ram Mohan Roy. The abode of another great saint, Shri Ram Krishna Paramahansa, is also nearer to the Vidyalaya.
