The school was set up in 1986, on the completion of a century of the first DAV at Lahore, by the late Mahatma Narayan Das Grover with the help of Dr. B. B. Mishra, an ardent Arya Samaji, a renowned historian of international fame and ex-Vice-Chancellor of Bhagalpur University. It was affiliated to CBSE Delhi in 1993 upto Std.-X and in 2004 upto Std.-XII. This school deserves to be the best school in Saran Commissionary with modern, well-equipped and magnificent laboratories. It is imparting quality education using modern technology from the pre-primary level. The school has been doing well in many fields, like academics, sports, co-curricular activities, cultural activities, tree plantation, and the Help the Poor campaign. The school also conducts regular value-education programmes and teachers’ development programmes under the aegis of the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi.
