About Us
B.S.S.Central Public School was set up after the Golden Jubilee year of Independence, i.e., in 1998, with the object of imparting modern-day education to the students of Purulia. It is a co-educational English-medium day school starting from Std.-I to Std.-XII, situated at Chakdah, Purulia, and a separate pre-primary section at Barakar Road, Purulia, open to all irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. The school was affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education in the year 2014, having affiliation no. 2430147. The school campus comprises 3.5 acres of land with a magnificent two-story building, playgrounds, a kid's garden and many more. The environs of the school are beautiful, safe, green, clean, and peaceful. The school is well equipped with laboratories, equipment, a well-stocked library, and highly qualified, trained, and experienced faculty members. The school follows the pattern and curriculum prescribed by CBSE and NCERT and offers Hindi and Bengali as 2nd or 3rd languages. It follows the RTE Act, 2009.
