About Us
Sri Dasmesh School was founded on July 31, 1981 as a result of the vision of S. Prakash Singh Badal, who desired "quality education on the most modern lines to be imparted to the boys and girls of the day". Along with Mr. Badal were Mr. Harchand S. Brar, Mr. Daljit S. Rana, Mr. Mohinder Singh, Mr. Satwant Singh, Major General Tara S. Bal, Brigadier H.S. Dhillon, Brigadier Harbans Lal Talwar, Mr. Harkewal Singh and Mr. R.S. Randhawa as founders. While the school is fully secular, it was named in honour of Guru Gobind Singh, tenth Guru of the Sikh religion and a great supporter of secular society. Within the Board of Trustee's, aims and objectives it is noted, "No distinction of caste, creed or religion shall be made"
