About Us
The National Policy of Education-1986 envisaged the establishment of pace setting schools in various parts of the country. Accordingly a scheme was formulated under which it was decided to set up residential schools called Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya on the average of one in each district. The school allotted to Navsari district of Gujarat State was initially started functioning in 2010 in the temporary building at Vansda and subsequently it was shifted to the permanent site at Roopvel in 2015, which covers 21 acres of land where the Vidyalaya is presently functioning. J.N.V Roopvel, which is in Navsari district, is surrounded by lush greenery. It is 46.3 Kms. away in the south-east from Navsari, via NH 360 and NH 48. The nearest railway station is Bilimora and is 31.6 kms away from J.N.V.Roopvel. The weather of this area is normal & pleasant. The temperature varies from 24 to 37 ºc. The average rainfall is 25 inches. Anaval is the nearest town (3 Km away from J.N.V).
