Public School, SECL, Bishrampur is situated in the vicinity of Surguja and renders services to the children of coal miners who sweat out day and night in the remotest tribal area of Chhattisgarh to light not only the country but also excel it on to the path of development and compete with developed countries of the world. D.A.V. Public School, SECL, Bishrampur, an asset to the people of entire area is situated on national highway no. 43 in Surajpur district between Ambikapur and Surajpur. It is 360 Kms from Raipur, the state capital and 240 kms from Bilaspur, the judicial capital of the state. The school lies in the lap of nature with abundant scenic beauty and landscape. The school came into existence on the 5th August 1991 in present Saraswati Shishu Mandir building after an MOU between D.A.V. College Managing Committee, New Delhi and South Eastern Coalfields Limited, to impart qualitative education amalgamated with Vedic culture to prepare the children to meet the challenges of life and the times ahead. D.A.V.
